biography

Texas born and raised, I began considering photography as a serious hobby
at 15. My first DSLR, a Nikon D-80, came at Christmas in 2004 and I never
put it down. Driven by a love for what I do, I'm self-taught in photography
with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design. I worked as a photojournalist for The
Daily Texan and have had my work published across the country.

mission

Looking through the lens is a method of sight and a way of capturing
experience. Images can communicate in ways that words cannot. Our lives
are coincidentally both insignificant and so monumental all at once. I strive
to visualize that complex and beautiful existence. As photographer Dorothea
Lange stated, "While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can
tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in
which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see."
